The Democratic Committee in Sussex County New Jersey has an 800 phone number. They decided to have their 800 number listed in their area directory's White and Yellow pages so more people would find it.

Thanks to a foul up by the phone directory company, A LOT of people are looking for the 800 number.

While their number was printed correctly in the Yellow pages, there was a printing error with their White page listing. When you dial that 800 number, rather than the Sussex County New Jersey Democratic Committee, you get a phone sex line.

This problem was made even bigger thanks to the confusion it created. Given the reputation of Bill Clinton and recent revelations about John Edwards regarding their respective sexual activities, it took Democrats who call the 800 number they found in the White pages an average of 17 minutes before they realized that they weren't talking to the Democratic Committee.
