A New Year Brings A New Focus

Up until now this blog has been simply a collection of random thoughts about events and ideas that caught my attention or were strong passions of mine. From this point on, what you'll find here is an ongoing narrative regarding the Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie.

The goal with the information that will be presented is to determine whether Christie is a Republican or a RINO. Only his words, policy decisions and actions will be used for this determination. In other words, whatever missteps he takes will be thrown right back in his face.

For the record, as an Independent Conservative, I did not support nor vote for Chris Christie. My vote went to Chris Daggett, the Independent candidate. I learned during Christie's campaign for Governor that other than his proclamation that, "I'm not Jon Corzine!" he had very little else in detailed ideas. There were many elements of his campaign website and literature regarding his positions on issues that were only one or two paragraphs.

While many have swooned over their "Rock Star" of a Governor, he's merely been the three year old in a tee ball game who can whack the ball off the tee and knows which way first base is. All he's done, to a limited degree, are the obvious things his predecessor refused to do. Now Christie faces Year Two with a still huge budget deficit, unfunded liabilities at a dangerous level and property taxes which have yet to decrease. He's off of the tee ball field and now in the major leagues.

Hopefully when he was down at Disney World while New Jersey was trying to shovel out of a snow storm Christie made a stop at Creativeland. He's going to need it.
