The NY Times this morning featured a front page article which took many claims and statements Chris Christie has made in order to support his actions and compared them with the facts of recent history. The result brings about much more contrast than you might have thought.
Christie declined to be interviewed for this article and a press flunkie basically said that he's in the ballpark of the truth when he spouts off. It looks like Christie's passion for one YouTube Moment after another has come back to haunt him since he will be unable to claim that the article took what he said out of context.
